On its main island, Unguja, Zanzibar, there is a historic place called Stone Town, with Swahili and Islamic influences throughout its history. On the northern coast of the main island there are two small towns that are popular for vacation, Nungwi and Kendwa. These two towns have wide beaches lined with hotels. At night, once a month, check out the full moon party in Kendwa.
